ON DEMAND 3D PRINTED PARTS

Material Options

PA12

Polyamide 12 Nylon is a high performance engineering plastic used in many applications. One of the most popular 3D printing materials is a great choice for functional prototypes and short run parts production.  This material contains no filler providing strength and flexibility.

PA12 GF20

Polyamide 12 Nylon GF20 is a high performance glass filled engineering plastic providing increased rigidity with some flexibility. Supported applications include electronic housings, firearm components, and automotive covers.  Material contains 20% glass beads by weight.

PA12 GF40

Polyamide 12 Nylon GF40 is a high performance glass filled engineering plastic with increased rigidity for high strength parts. Supported applications include automotive housings, durable jigs, fixtures and tools for the electronics industry.  Material contains 40% glass beads by weight.

TPC Elastomer

TPC, also known as thermoplastic copolyester, boasts remarkable elasticity, resilience, and flexibility. This robust elastomer excels in durability, while also demonstrating superior resistance to elements like water, chemicals, and ultraviolet rays. Ideal for a broad range of uses, TPC is commonly employed in the creation of support structures, sports safety gear, intricate technical parts, and functional design items including outdoor applications.

Finishes

Standard

Our standard finish results in the material's natural color which is either white for unfilled nylon or light gray for the glass filled options. Surfaces of SLS parts in general will have a grainy matte appearance. Parts should be powder free with the exception of areas where cleaning is hard to reach.

Shot Peened

Shot Peen is a unique process where the plastic parts are subjected to a powerful stream of ceramic particles, propelled by compressed air. This technique impacts the surface of the parts, yielding a smooth matte finish. The process also enhances the scratch resistance of the parts.

Dye

All materials can be dyed for those who wish to have parts black. The dye application penetrates up to 200μm with no dimensional change while providing UV resistance. The one downside is that the surface of a dyed part marks easier than parts that have been shot peened.
